October is here!!! It is time to get going on “Booing” the neighborhood!
We have a fun thing that we do in our neighborhoods around here. It is called “Booing.” It is a fun way to celebrate this holiday. We leave some goodies and the note above on a neighbor’s doorstep, knock or ring the door bell and run and hide (kind of like the old Valentine’s Day Valentine’s we use to deliver)! We usually give them the note on white paper and then a second one on colored paper. That way they can copy the white note and hang the colored paper on their door. We love to walk around during the month of October and see which families have been booed (they hang the colored note on their door so they don’t get booed twice.) We try to get it through the whole neighborhood before Halloween!
My kids always look forward to October so we can start booing the neighbors. The neighborhood above us has already started booing - we are starting tonight, but don’t tell our neighbors, we want them to be surprised!!! Below is the poem that we use, you can enlarge it, and use any font you would like! I’d love to hear about some of your October traditions! Good Luck and Happy Booing!
Good Evening!!!
If you don’t wish a curse on this house,
You must make 3 treats and deliver
Them to 3 homes in the neighborhood.
You have only 1 day!
Paste the picture of the Phantom Ghost
On your door until Halloween. This will
Ward off any other Phantoms who may
Wish to visit you.
Remember, your Goodies and Letters,
Also, include 3 more pictures in with
Your Treats!
Happy Halloween!!!
