I loved math. Yes, I did. Always wanted to teach math to kids because I loved it so much. I found it very fascinating, the way the numbers interacted with each other.
I had the most wonderful math teacher in junior high school. He loved math and it was contagious. Every student that took his math classes developed that same love of math.
Here’s to you Weber Walker…thank you for instilling that love of mathematics in your students. Thank you for that love of mathematics that I can pass on to my children. In your honor I celebrate “Pi day”…
Yes, March 14 was pi day (3.14, hence 3/14) at exactly 1:59.
And do you know what? It was also Einstein’s birthday! It must be Kismet.
All the math classes at my daughter’s school are celebrating Pi day. She took a Banana Cream Pie to share. Yum - Yum.
Are you wondering how pi day started? Larry Shaw started pi day 21 years ago.
Are you wanting to do some pi activities to celebrate? Click here! or click here!
You can even get pi day e-cards! Who knew?
There is even an official pi day website!
And don’t forget those pi day songs.
In honor of pi day and Weber Walker, go have some pizza pie or dessert pie and ENJOY!
